No analytics that identify you. No tracking pixels. No advertising tags. No session recording. No heatmaps. No third-party embeds that set cookies on our behalf. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google, so reading a page here sends no request to anyone else.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which protects it from automated attack. Cloudflare may set a cookie on your device to tell a browser apart from a bot. It carries no advertising identifier and it is not used to build a profile of you.

That cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, so regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 does not require us to ask your consent for it.

A consent banner exists because a site is doing something that needs consent. This one is not, so you are not being asked.

Cloudflare logs the technical detail needed to deliver and defend a website, including the IP address the request came from. An IP address is personal data, and the privacy policy sets out what happens to it.

We receive no record of which pages you read, how long you spent on them, or where you came from — unless you tell us in the how you found us field on the contact form, in words, by choice.

The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 amended regulation 6 of PECR with effect from 5 February 2026, and the Information Commissioner published guidance on the change in April 2026. There is now an exception for storage used solely to gather statistics about how a site is used with a view to improving it, and another for remembering how you like a site to look. Neither needs consent, and both require the site to say clearly what it is doing and to give you a simple, free way to object.

If we take either of those up, this page changes first, with a new version number and a date, and the objection route will be on it. We will not add a tracker and describe it afterwards.

Every browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them and block them. Blocking the Cloudflare security cookie may mean the site asks you to prove you are not a bot more often. Nothing else here depends on one.
